Carmen the Aussie

Hello!

My name’s Carmen and I’m an Aussie journalist currently living in London. I moved to this cold and dreary nation in February 2009 with my fiance, Dave.

Our time here has certainly been nothing short of an adventure… I’ve been a shoe shiner, advertising executive and greasy spoon waitress to name a few career paths in the past couple of years!

I’ve experienced a murder on my street, the central line during peak hour and the sales on Oxford Street.

I’ve also sunbathed in London’s parks (there is sunshine occasionally), danced through the streets at the Notting Hill carnival and made friends with the local fox.

There’s good, there’s bad but one thing there isn’t is boredom whilst living in UK’s capital.

I’m passionate about food, travel and documenting my adventures as I go. My next big project is planning our wedding for March 2012 – and what a mammoth task that is!
